Creating a dining area that feels much larger than it actually is can be difficult in a tiny house. I’ve looked at a lot of built in designs but I’m not sure I want to go that route because of the issues with someone in the back of the table needing to use the bathroom or get a drink and the person sitting at the entrance having to cater to everyone else. Having 4 kids makes this a bigger issue, as well as cleaning cushions and under the table.
This table, called the Levi, from Item in the UK, has a timber top that really brings nature into the room, and a clear acrylic base that makes the table appear to be floating. Your eyes are drawn under the table which really opens the room.

My mission is to build a tiny house that might be small on space, but BIG on design. Form, function, and artistic detail are important for every piece of furniture that goes into a tiny house, so I'm scouring for the best designs, and sharing with you!
